What a great morning. Each class presented an item in appreciation of grandparents at morning assembly. A highlight was the 5/6 class taking the opportunity to present their grandparents with an assembly award. Grandparents were then invited to tour the classrooms. Students were very excited to show off their work and demonstrate some of the activities they do in class. A delicious morning tea followed. Thank you to all families who contributed a plate of food. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the special relationship between children and their grandparents/grand-friends while raising money for cancer research. Donations were collected by our Withers and Bennett representatives, and… drum roll...
Bennett raised $388.40 and Withers $231.60. Including online donations we raised $648.00 for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea.
Thank you everyone for making this day a big success. Special thanks to Mrs James, Mrs Link, Ms Fisher and the SRC for organising the event. It’s one of the highlights of our year.
